With members ranging from junior girls to ladies in their 90s and from single figure handicap golfers to complete beginners, there really is something for everyone in the Ladies section at Knaresborough Golf Club. At our core is the friendliness and welcome extended to both visitors and new members.
From team matches to medals to regular Tuesday golf (tee reserved from 8.30am 'til 11am each week), the Club caters for everyone from the seriously competitive to the determinedly casual. Competitions are generally played over 18 holes, with 9 hole competitions available for beginners and our more senior members.
Keen to appeal to working ladies, the Club's Alternative Day Players (ADP) are an important part of the Ladies’ Section. ADP members, often unable to play Tuesday golf, have the opportunity to play their qualifying competitions in the evenings and medals over a weekend.
The Ladies section has its own committee which ensures that the interests of our Lady Members are well represented.
Always keen to attract newcomers, Knaresborough offers group coaching from our experts, the goal being to make learning the game a relaxed, fun and sociable experience.
There is a vibrant Junior Section at the club and the junior girls are made very welcome, also having the opportunity to take part in both Junior and Ladies Section competitions. Junior Girls should refer to the Junior Section of the website for further information.
Knaresborough Golf Club's 2017 Lady Captain is Chris Fitchett. Chris would be delighted to hear from you if you're thinking of joining or have any questions. Find her by email here.
