Junior European Open Qualifier at KGC this Weekend

This Saturday afternoon Knaresborough Golf Club is hosting a regional final qualifier of the 2018 Junior European Open. The competition, first staged in 1993 and now in its 26th year, is widely considered as the toughest test in junior golf across Europe. It will see 40-50 under 18 boys and under 19 girls playing off scratch for places in the Champions Week Finals in Spain later in the year.

To convey something of the importance of this event, past finalists have included Donald, L (1993), Rose, J (1994) and Dougherty, N (1995). Notably, Willett, D failed to qualify for the finals in 2003!

We’re obviously delighted to be hosting the event and anticipating a great day’s golf at KGC on Saturday.
