Our Privacy Statement explains what information we may hold about you, why we hold it, how we protect it for you and how you can have it removed from our files if you wish.

We are providing this information because a new law –The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) took effect on 25th May 2018, and it changes the way we have to keep your information.

The information we hold about you is information we have taken from your application form or you have given to us to update your contact profile. The information is important to us to be able to contact you regarding your annual subscriptions and to keep you updated on Knaresborough Golf Club news. We may contact you by post, email or telephone, where you have given your permission.

We will share your information with Club Systems who store your details securely for us, and also BRS who are an online tee booking system and will require your name and internal reference number to log you in for a tee time.

We will only keep your information for the purpose for which it was collected and for as long as you give us permission to hold it.

We will always take the greatest care with the information that we hold about you. We will only contact you whilst we have your consent but you can opt-out of being contacted by us (other than for subscription notification) at any time.

You also have the right to see copies of the information held about you. You can also contact the same person to complain if you are unhappy at the way we manage your personal information. If you are still unhappy you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office, the independent regulator which exists to protect people’s information rights.
