CENTENARY CAPTAINS READY TO DRIVE IN ON SUNDAYNovember 1, 2019
This Sunday we'll see our three new section Captains embark on what is a very special year for them and for Knaresborough Golf Club. Keith Dobson, Joanne McBratney and Gavin Hall will, for one year only, be driving in on the 12th hole... symbolic because this is the oldest hole on the course, having featured on the original layout.
All are welcome to come along and offer their support. While the drive-in itself takes place at 12.00, it's expected that folk will be arriving from 11 onwards for a chat and the opportunity to enter the draw for a parking spot and that drive-in "guesstimate."
The drive-in will be followed, back in the Clubhouse, by sandwiches and chips and formal welcomes for the three new incumbents.
It would be great to see Members old, new, young and not so young on Sunday. Come along and witness what is really the start of what we all know will be a successful and enjoyable year for our Captains and our Club.
Don't forget that the 12th tee, while not too far from the Clubhouse, might be a slightly muddy walk, given recent rainfall. In other words, appropriate shoes/boots are advisable.
