Course ClosureMarch 24, 2020
The Government has introduced severe restrictions aimed at controlling the spread of Covid-19. For this reason we are obligated to close Knaresborough Golf Course for the time being.
Flags and tee markers are not in place and a strict policy of no play has been enforced. Sadly this extends to the practice ground, there being no way of ensuring that Members or visitors are keeping the required safe distance.
The Greens Staff will be working to a 'safe process' rota. They will be carrying out only the essential maintenance work on greens, tees and fairways to enable our Members to play golf straight away once we have got through this pandemic.
KGC's Committee would like to thank Members and Visitors for exercising patience and understanding during what is likely to be a challenging period for all involved. Our single goal must be to maximise safety and while this may serve up inconvenience for a time we are confident that with cooperation and that incredible KGC spirit we will emerge stronger.
Furthermore, when it's all over we are likely to value the joy of Knaresborough Golf Club just that little bit more.
Thank you and please stay safe.
