A week in the life of greens (19-23 Nov 2018)November 25, 2018
The planned schedule of works for this week included;
Contractor verti spiking fairways.
Sand removal from fairway bunkers on the 6th.
General day to day course maintenance.
Swished greens.Bunkers raked. Tee markers moved.
Blue lining completed.
Leaf blowing, collection and mulching.
Hullah's on site verti spiking 8th fairway
This work was on-going all week.
Swished and removed debris from the greens.
Tee markers moved
Sand removed from both approach bunkers on the 6th in preparation for renovation work to be done.
Five trees felled on the right side of the 18th.
Rest of day devoted to leaves.
Course inspection carried out.
Usual green attention along with removing water from those greens that were flooded.
Repairs carried out to 9th and 16th bunkers following animal damage.
Machinery set up for planned vertical spiking of greens and tees.
Course inspection at first light.
Greens swished and debris removed.
Bunkers had leaves removed and were then raked.
Ransome gang cutting units(all 5 cylinders) were stripped down for major overhaul.
Weekend preparations started for the up-coming Saturday and Sunday competitions.
All greens and approaches cut.
