Recent course and clubhouse enhancements mean there’s never been a better time to be a member of Knaresborough Golf Club. Our range of membership categories means there’s one to fit the way you want to play your golf. And we’ve managed to keep our subscription levels incredibly competitive in the spirit of providing a wonderful golfing experience to suit all pockets.

With our age related discounts, a 23 year old could join from as little as £518/annum.

For more information about which category of membership best suits you, see information below or speak to our friendly Club Manager who can provide help and advice. Remember that while the membership year starts in April, you can join at any time and pay pro rata.

  • Junior, Student in FE, House and Country

    Junior (Age 16-18) £250

    Junior (up to and including year in which 15th birthday falls) £75

    Juniors who have a direct family relation who is a “Gold” member receives a £50 discount – so effectively £25 for under 16s

    Student in FE (aged 18-23, and on production of a valid Student Union / Student ID card) £264

  • Introduction (points-based) - £509

    This category is for new members to Knaresborough Golf Club and is only available for a period of two complete subscription years before another category of membership must be chosen. It is useful for those new to golf or players who cannot commit to a lot of golf.

    • Achieve a World Handicap System (WHS) Index to allow you to play in competitions.
    • Lowest initial outlay cost to be a member at Knaresborough Golf Club.
    • Top-ups available as required if you find you can play more rounds.
    • 7 day course access (with time restrictions and peak/off-peak variable credit charging)
    • Reciprocal agreement with other selected clubs
  • Credit Scheme (points-based) - £839

    10% Discount for New Members under 50

    This category is for golfers who are able to play a reasonable amount of golf during the year but don’t require full membership; and is more economic than the Introduction category and buying more credits. Top-ups are available if you find you need to play more rounds.

    • Achieve a World Handicap System (WHS) Index to allow you to play in competitions.
    • Lower cost per round than Introduction.
    • Playing time restrictions apply as per Introduction.
    • Reciprocal agreement with other selected clubs
    • Introduction and Credit Scheme categories offer access to selected club competitions as specified in the Terms and Conditions
  • Community Membership (CASC) £520

    As per the Equality Act this category of membership is open to all, without discrimination.

    • Anybody wishing to take advantage of this category of membership will be required to demonstrate that their income is of low or modest means.
    • At membership renewal time members in this category may be requested to provide evidence of their continuing circumstances.
    • If a Member’s individual circumstances alter, said Member will be responsible for informing the General Manager.
    • This category of membership comes with full playing rights across all seven days.
    • Members in this category will be entitled to full voting rights at all meetings including, SGMs, AGMs etc.
    • Equipment is available for those Members to use if required, which they are expected to maintain in good condition. The Member should immediately inform the Professional of any damage to such equipment.
