Gareth Murray
Gareth Murray was recently appointed the Club Professional at Knaresborough Golf Club. A Yorkshire lad born in Barnsley, Gareth is a former Captain of the PGA in Yorkshire and currently sits on the committee as Vice Chairman.
Gareth Murray is a first class professional with a wealth of knowledge around coaching which he has attained over 20 years as a PGA Professional. He has coached and competed to a high level of professional golf both at home and abroad for several years.

The Pro Shop
Gareth and his team at Knaresborough Golf Club are experts in all areas of the golf game. In a highly competitive marketplace, it is often difficult for golfers to know if they are buying the correct equipment to suit them. Our professional team provide a one-stop retail experience which removes the need to shop around. The Pro Shop also offers trolley hire, electric trolley hire and buggy hire. Professional services are also available for visiting parties and societies, with golf clinics and prize tables arrangeable in advance.
The shop stocks several major brands with Ping and TaylorMade custom fitting available. Custom fitting across other brands is possible with prior arrangement. The equipment in the shop is competitively priced and Gareth will endeavour to match or beat the best price available.
Golf coaching is another service provided to golfers of all abilities and we are flexible when it comes to arranging appointment times. Whether you are new to golf or an experienced golfer we can accommodate your needs and work with you to improve your golf. As PGA qualified professionals we have a broad knowledge of all aspects of the game.
The indoor swing room is fitted out with Huxley putting mat and the latest in radar technology via Flightscope Mevo+. This is a great facility as we can continue with coaching and custom fitting golf equipment whatever the weather outside. The swing room is also available for practice and to play on the 10 different simulated golf courses.
